In short

We collect only what we need to deliver your free sample and operate the product. Scout researches publicly available company information; we do not sell your personal data.

What we collect

  • Sample requests: the name, work email, company, and ICP/offer details you submit when you ask for free openings.
  • Account data: if you sign in, the identity our authentication provider returns (e.g. email and user id).
  • Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the site and product are used.
  • Research inputs/outputs: the accounts, signals, and contacts produced for your campaigns, drawn from publicly available sources.

How we use it

  • Deliver your free sample and run the research you request.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the product.
  • Respond to you and send service-related messages.

We do not sell personal data. We use vetted subprocessors (hosting, AI model, and email providers) under contract solely to provide the service.

Public-signal research

Scout surfaces buying signals from publicly available company information (job posts, company sites, the open web). Each opening is tied to a source and date so you can verify it. If you are a contact who appears in research and want it removed, email us and we will action it.

Retention, security, and your rights

  • We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
  • We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Questions or requests? See our contact page.

This page is a plain-language summary, not legal advice.
